Terms of Service
The terms and conditions governing the use of our website and our provider connection service.
Last updated: June 2026
These terms of service ("Terms") govern your use of the Birmingham Emergency Plumber website at emergencyplumberbirmingham247.co.uk and our enquiry connection service. By using our website or submitting an enquiry, you agree to these Terms. Please read them carefully.
1. What Our Service Is
Birmingham Emergency Plumber is a connection service. We are not a plumbing company and we do not carry out plumbing work ourselves. When you submit an enquiry or call us, we pass your details to one or more suitable local plumbing providers in our network so they can contact you about the job. Enquiries we handle include:
- Burst pipe repair and water leak emergencies
- Boiler repair and breakdown response
- Blocked drain clearance and CCTV drain surveys
- Toilet, tap, and bathroom plumbing repairs
- Leak detection
- Frozen pipe thawing and prevention
- General plumbing maintenance and installation
The enquiry line operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year. Our service is free for customers to use.
2. Your Contract Is with the Provider
Any plumbing work you agree to is carried out under a contract between you and the provider, not with us. The provider is responsible for the quote, the work, the workmanship, any guarantee they offer, and for holding the licences, qualifications, and insurance relevant to the work they accept. We are not a party to that contract and do not supervise, direct, or control how providers carry out work.
Before agreeing to any work, confirm the price, scope, and any guarantee directly with the provider. For gas work, you can verify an engineer's Gas Safe registration at gassaferegister.co.uk.
3. Provider Requirements
Providers in our network are required to hold the relevant licences, qualifications, insurance, and permissions for the services they accept, including current Gas Safe registration for any work on gas appliances. We ask providers to confirm and keep this information up to date, but we recommend you also verify credentials directly with your provider before work begins.
4. Pricing and Payment
Free to Enquire
Using our service costs you nothing. You only pay the provider for work you agree with them.
Quotes Before Work
Providers in our network are expected to agree a quote with you before starting work. The cost of plumbing work depends on the issue, time, parts, and urgency.
Payment to the Provider
All payment for work is made directly to the provider under their terms. We do not take payments through this website and we do not handle your money.
Additional Work
If extra work becomes necessary beyond the original quote, the provider should agree a revised price with you before proceeding. Confirm this practice with your provider.
5. Availability and Response Times
We aim to pass your enquiry to an available provider as quickly as possible, but we cannot guarantee that a provider will be available, will accept your enquiry, or will arrive within any particular time. Availability depends on:
- Provider coverage in your area
- Current demand and time of day
- The type and severity of the job
- Traffic, weather, and other conditions outside our control
If we cannot match your enquiry, we will tell you as soon as possible so you can make other arrangements. If you smell gas, call the National Gas Emergency line on 0800 111 999 before doing anything else.
6. Cancelling an Enquiry
You can withdraw an enquiry at any time by calling or emailing us. If a provider has already been matched, you should also tell the provider directly.
Cancellation of work that a provider has started or scheduled is governed by your contract with the provider. For urgent work you ask to begin immediately, you may waive certain cancellation rights under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013; the provider should explain this to you.
7. Liability Limitations
We provide an introduction service only. To the fullest extent permitted by law:
- We are not liable for the acts, omissions, workmanship, pricing, or conduct of any provider, or for any loss or damage arising from work carried out by a provider.
- We are not liable for a failure to match your enquiry with a provider, or for any delay in a provider responding or attending.
- Our total liability to you in connection with the service shall not exceed £100.
- We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, including loss of income or business interruption.
- Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot be excluded by law. Nothing in these Terms affects your statutory rights against the provider who carries out the work.
If you have a complaint about a provider, raise it with the provider first. You can also tell us at [email protected]; provider conduct affects continued membership of our network.
